Dissemination and Implementation of a Community Health Worker Intervention for Disparities in Palliative Care (DeCIDE PC): a study protocol for a hybrid type 1 randomized controlled trial
DISCUSSION: We expect the DeCIDE PC intervention to improve integration of palliative care, reduce multilevel barriers to care, enhance clinic and patient linkage to resources, and ultimately improve palliative care outcomes for African American patients with advanced cancer. Palliative care interventions in chronic respiratory diseases: A systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Palliative care appears to have a beneficial effect on breathlessness, one of the most distressing symptoms in patients suffering from chronic respiratory diseases and allows for advanced care planning. Contribution of non-socioeconomic factors to healthy quality of life in socioeconomically deprived patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer: Measuring attributable fraction

Effectiveness and safety of opioids on breathlessness and exercise endurance in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials
CONCLUSIONS: Sustained-release opioids did not improve dyspnoea and exercise endurance. Paediatric Palliative Care in a Reference Centre of Inherited Metabolic Diseases
CONCLUSION: Mitochondrial, lysosomal, and peroxisomal disorders are complex multisystemic diseases that very often have no treatment intended to cure. These patients have a heavy symptom burden and frequent intercurrences. Addressing these symptoms is challenging, but PPC has proven to reduce hospital admissions with consequent improvement in quality of life.
