Assessment of Burnout Levels before and during COVID-19 Pandemic: A Web-Based Survey by the (Italian) Association of Medical Endocrinologists (AME)
CONCLUSIONS: Short-term exposure to pandemic-related activities seemed to have a low impact on burnout severity, except for physicians directly involved in managing COVID-19 cases. It is strongly recommended the availability of psychological support in public hospitals.PMID:34303333 | DOI:10.2174/1871530321666210720123336 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Association between insulin resistance and cardinal rheological parameters in young healthy Japanese individuals during 75 g oral glucose tolerance test
CONCLUSION: Cardinal rheological parameters reflected insulin resistance and were released even in the young, healthy Japanese individuals within the physiological range of glycemic control.PMID:34303334 | DOI:10.2174/1871530321666210720124554 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

A Case Report of Latent Autoimmune Diabetes Arising After Isotretinoin Treatment: Real Association or Coincidence? A Hypothesis on Pathophysiology
CONCLUSION: Isotretinoin is known to have some immunomodulating effects. There are some case reports on the relationship between isotretinoin and autoimmune diseases. The negative immune environment that developed due to the long-standing moderate-severe VitD deficiency may have taken a turn toward autoimmunity upon isotretinoin treatment. This hypothesis on how isotretinoin can cause autoimmune diabetes needs to be validated.PMID:34259153 | DOI:10.2174/1871530321666210713123256 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Multiple rebound-associated vertebral fractures after denosumab discontinuation: is prompt antiresorptive therapy always recommended, even when the risk of fracture seems low? A case report
CONCLUSION: This case underlines the relative irrelevance of bone mineral density and clinical algorithms in predicting the risk of rebound-associated vertebral fractures after denosumab discontinuation and the strong recommendation to always switch to another antiresorptive therapy (such as zoledronic acid) immediately at the time of denosumab discontinuation.PMID:34238202 | DOI:10.2174/1871530321666210708142127 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

A case of cancer-associated hyponatraemia: primary adrenal insufficiency secondary to nivolumab
CONCLUSION: Physicians need to be aware of potential immune-related adverse events in all patients treated with an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Their timely recognition is essential to carry out the proper treatment.PMID:34238203 | DOI:10.2174/1871530321666210708142815 (Source: Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Disorders Drug Targets)

Menstrual Disorders Related to Eating Disorders
Endocr Metab Immune Disord Drug Targets. 2021 Jun 25. doi: 10.2174/1871530321666210625145345. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTEating disorders (ED) are associated with multiple physical complications that strongly affect the physical health of these young and fragile patients and can also cause significant mortality, the highest among psychiatric pathologies. Among the various organic complications, albeit still little known, the gynecological implications, up to infertility, are very widespread. Among adolescent and adult patients, gynecological symptoms can be very widespread and range from menstrual irregularities to amen...
