Nonpharmacologic Pain Management for Patients in Ambulatory Extended Recovery After Minimally Invasive Gynecologic and Urologic Surgery
This study focused on patients recovering from minimally invasive gynecologic and urologic surgery at a comprehensive cancer center. The first cohort consisted of patients three months preimplementation (n = 96) and the second consisted of those three months postimplementation (n = 86).METHODOLOGIC APPROACH: The project used a pre- and postintervention design and deployed the bundle as a nursing order. Study on the Effect of Pain Programmed Care Based on the Concept of Prehabilitation on the Recovery of Joint Function and WHOQOL-BREF Score in Elderly Patients after Total Hip Arthroplasty
CONCLUSION: Pain programmed care based on the concept of prehabilitation for elderly patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty has a significant positive impact on pain control, compliance with functional exercise, recovery of hip function, and improvement of quality of life. These findings highlight the benefits of implementing pain management strategies and rehabilitation programs in the field of total hip arthroplasty and elderly care.PMID:37678865

Diabetes mellitus and functional limitations among older adults: Evidence from a large, representative Ghanaian aging study
CONCLUSIONS: In this representative study, older adults with DM showed higher odds for FL, and this association was partially explained by physical activity and health variables.
