Deep learning detection of diabetic retinopathy in Scotland's diabetic eye screening programme
CONCLUSION: A deep learning-based system for DR grading was evaluated in QA data and images from 11 years in 50% of people attending a national DR screening programme. Contribution of school meals to the recommended nutrient and energy intake of children enrolled in the National Homegrown School Feeding Program in Zaria, Nigeria
CONCLUSION: The meals served through the NHSFP contributed at least 33% of the RNI for energy, protein, iron, calcium, sodium, vitamin A, and zinc. However, they could not meet the 33% of the RNI for carbohydrates, fiber, potassium, and vitamin C. Increasing the portion sizes and the diversity of the meals can address the suboptimal contribution of the meals to the RNI for carbohydrates, fiber, potassium, and vitamin C.PMID:37704525 | DOI:10.1016/j.arcped.2023.07.004

Relaxing radial retinal incisions for the treatment of persistent macular holes
CONCLUSION: The results of this limited case series suggest that radial retinal incisions of the rim in persistent macula holes after initial surgery with ILM peeling increase the success rate of macula hole closure and results in a relevant increase in BCVA.
