Effectiveness of robotic-assisted gait training in stroke rehabilitation: A retrospective matched control study
Conclusion The results suggested that RAGT can provide stroke patients extra benefits in terms of ambulation, mobility, and balance. However, in the aspect of basic activities of daily living, the effect of RAGT on stroke patients is similar to that of traditional physiotherapy.

Electromechanical-assisted training for walking after stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: People who receive electromechanical-assisted gait training in combination with physiotherapy after stroke are more likely to achieve independent walking than people who receive gait training without these devices. We concluded that seven patients need to be treated to prevent one dependency in walking. Specifically, people in the first three months after stroke and those who are not able to walk seem to benefit most from this type of intervention. The role of the type of device is still not clear. Utilization of physiotherapy in the continuum of stroke care at a tertiary hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria
Conclusion: The referral rate of stroke patients for physiotherapy was relatively high. Utilisation of in-patient physiotherapy reduced length of hospital stay among patients with stroke. Utilisation of out-patient physiotherapy was low. Strategies to enhance out-patient utilisation should be explored.Keywords: Stroke, utilisation, physiotherapy

Repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation for activities of daily living and functional ability in people after stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Available trials provided inadequate evidence to permit any conclusions about routine use of rPMS for people after stroke. Additional trials with large sample sizes are needed to determine an appropriate rPMS protocol as well as long-term effects. A retrospective study to assess resource utilization and costs in patients with post-stroke spasticity in the United Kingdom.
CONCLUSION: Costs after stroke for patients developing PSS are twice as high compared to patients who do not develop it, with the major driver being the number of hospital admissions. Concurrent impact of bilateral multiple joint functional electrical stimulation and treadmill walking on gait and spasticity in post-stroke survivors: a pilot study.
Conclusions: A short duration of bilateral FES in conjugation with treadmill walking contributed to significant improvement in gait speed, functional mobility, functional ambulation, range of motion and step length in post-stroke survivors. Outcome measures and motion capture systems for assessing lower limb orthosis-based interventions after stroke: a systematic review.

Self-perceived functioning and disability after randomized conventional and electromechanically-assisted gait training in subacute stroke: a 6 months follow-up.
CONCLUSIONS: This study indicates that EAGT and conventional gait training in the subacute stage after stroke have no differential impact on self-perceived functioning, disability and recovery at 6 months after stroke. Further, the study highlights the importance of interventions targeting ADL and self-care independence during stroke rehabilitation to enhance self-perceived recovery and clinical aspects to be targeted to enhance perceived mobility. Immediate changes in post-stroke gait using a shoe lift on the nonaffected lower limb: A preliminary study.
CONCLUSION: The results showed that the immediate use of 1.5 cm shoe lifts seems to improve gait speed and functional mobility in chronic stroke patients. Further studies should focus on understanding the kinematics strategies and gait pattern alterations caused by shoe lifts under the NLL of post-stroke individuals. Repetitions, duration and intensity of upper limb practice following the implementation of robot assisted therapy with sub-acute stroke survivors: an observational study.
CONCLUSIONS: This is the first study to have observed an increase in UL practice with the inclusion of RT-UL as part of routine clinical practice. This increase in practice is considered to be due to RT-UL providing highly supportive and expeditious semi-supervised practice.
