This study tests the impact of a telephone and online problem-solving intervention for Spanish-speaking stroke caregivers on caregiver outcomes.METHODS: The design is a two-arm parallel randomized clinical trial with repeated measures. Age- and Sex-Specific Risk Profiles and In-Hospital Mortality in 13,932 Spanish Stroke Patients
Conclusion: Although most of our findings were consistent with previous studies, it is important to take into account and highlight differences in in-hospital mortality between the sex and age group. Not to account for age-related differences between the sexes can give false results that may mislead management decisions. Stroke-related mortality in a tertiary care hospital in Andalusia: Analysis and reflections
Conclusions Stroke is associated with higher admission and in-hospital mortality rates than SCA. Likewise, patients with HS showed higher mortality rates than those with IS. Patients with fatal stroke usually had a history of long-term treatment with anticoagulants; two-thirds of the patients with fatal IS and AF were not receiving anticoagulants. According to our results, optimising prevention in patients with AF may have a positive impact on stroke-related in-hospital mortality.

CONCLUSIONS: The incidence of stroke in COVID-19 patients presenting to EDs was lower than in the non-COVID-19 reference sample. Real-World Management and Clinical Outcomes of Stroke Survivors With Atrial Fibrillation: A Population-Based Cohort in Spain
Conclusion: In this large population-based cohort using real-world data, nearly 30% of AF patients who suffered a stroke were untreated or treated with APT, which overall is not recommended. Treatment was started within 2 weeks as recommended, except for OAC + APT, which was started later. The strong association of APT treatment or non-treatment with the same treatment strategy before stroke occurrence suggests a strong therapeutic inertia and opposes recommendations.
