Understanding Cognitive Impairment after Stroke: Stories from a Middle-Income Country
This study presents findings from a community of Malaysian-Chinese stroke survivors living in Malaysia on their understandings of cognitive deficits after stroke. The way stroke survivors thought about CI was also mediated by the cultural and social context that surrounded them. Of interest was the primacy of physical health over the cognitive which resulted in the invisibility of CI within this community, regardless of whether the deficits were mild or severe. Based on these findings, there is a need to rethink how cognitive decline should be observed in realistic community settings.

Factors of Health Promotion Behaviour (HPB) and Elderly Health Diseases in Malaysia
This study, therefore, is to investigate the effect of factors of HPB on elderly health disease in Malaysia. Predictors of Quality of Life among Older People with Mild Cognitive Impairment Attending Urban Primary Care Clinics.
CONCLUSIONS: MCI was prevalent among study participants and were associated with poorer QOL in all domains of QOL. A better understanding of predictors of QOL in older people with MCI is deemed important. Validation of the caregiving knowledge questionnaire-my: Measuring knowledge regarding positioning and feeding among Malaysian informal caregivers of stroke patients
Conclusions: CKQ-My has good internal consistency and construct validity for the subscales measuring stroke caregivers' knowledge about positioning and feeding of stroke patients. Documenting the impact of stroke in a middle-income country: a Malaysian case study.
CONCLUSION: In LMIC, recovery can be shaped by the family unit and through active coping strategies especially those in relation to spirituality. Implications for rehabilitation The impact of stroke on survivors and lack of specialized stroke care compromise the recovery process and quality of life for stroke survivors in low and middle-income countries.
