Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 4649: Comparative Analysis of Three Predictive Models of Performance Indicators with Results-Based Management: Cancer Data Statistics in a National Institute of Health
no Predictive models play a crucial role in RBMs to analyze performance indicator results to manage unexpected events and make timely decisions to resolve them. Their use in Mexico is deficient, and monitoring and evaluation are among the weakest pillars of the model. In response to these needs, the aim of this study was to perform a comparative analysis of three predictive models to analyze 10 medical performance indicators and cancer data related to children with cancer. To accomplish these purposes, a comparative and retrospective study with nonprobabilistic convenience sampling was conducted. The predictive models ...

Seasonal and host-associated variation in bot fly (oestridae: cuterebrinae) parasitism of lagomorphs across an arid-land ecosystem in southern new mexico
J Parasitol. 2023 Oct 1;109(5):486-494. doi: 10.1645/22-106.ABSTRACTBot flies (Oestridae: Cuterebrinae) are obligate mammalian parasites that complete the larval stage of their life cycle under the skin of their host. Most detailed studies of bot fly larval disease ecology have been conducted in temperate deciduous zone rodent systems. To understand the relative importance of seasonal and spatial factors, as well as factors intrinsic to the host, in underpinning the likelihood and extent of parasitism by bot flies in non-rodent hosts as well as in arid-land ecosystems, we examined the dynamic for black-tailed jackrabbit (L...

Metabolomic Diversity in Microbial Mats Under Different Environmental Conditions: A Tool to Test Microbial Ecosystem Chemical Change
In this study, microbial mats from a small pond in the Cuatro Cienegas Basin in Coahuila, Mexico, were collected in wet and dry seasons. In addition to these samples, mesocosm experiments from the wet samples were set. These mats are elastic and rise after heavy rainfall by forming gas domes structures known as "Archean domes", by the outgassing of methanogenic bacteria, archaea, and sulfur bacteria. Extracts from all mats and mesocosms were subjected to untargeted mass spectrometry-based metabolomics and molecular networking analysis. Interestingly, each mat showed high chemical diversity that may be explained by the temp...

Clean cooking technologies, information, and communication technology and the environment
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Sep 16. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-29577-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn recent years, researchers and politicians have become concerned about the ever-increasing energy consumption of ICT gadgets. Any effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions should take the ICT industry's carbon emissions into account, given the widespread usage of ICT products across all economic sectors. Employing Driscoll-Kraay Panel Corrected Estimators for E7 economies from 2000 to 2020, we examine the direct impacts of ICT on ecology as well as the indirect implications through connections with the availability of ...
