Early-life exposure to air pollution associated with food allergy in children: Implications for 'one allergy' concept
CONCLUSION: Early-life exposure to high levels of outdoor and indoor air pollution in China due to the rapid economic growth and fast urbanization in the past decades may contribute to the rapid increase of food allergy (FA) in children. Our study indicates that, in addition to gut and skin, airway may be a new route of food sensitization. The concentration of potentially toxic elements (zinc, iron, manganese) bound PM2.5 in the indoor air of urban schools: a global systematic review and meta-analysis
In this study, the concentration of Zn, Fe, and Mn in the indoor air of schools bound PM2.5 were meta-analyzed. PubMed and Scopus were used to retrieve papers related to the concentration of PTEs bound PM2.5 in the indoor air of urban schools from January 1, 2000 to March 10, 2020. The concentration of PTEs in PM2.5 was meta-analyzed based on the country subgroup in the random-effects model (REM). Thirty papers with 25 data reports were included in the study. Effects of outdoor air pollution and indoor environmental exposure during early life on childhood allergies: From early symptoms to diagnosed diseases

Conclusions: Quantifying the prevalence and the association of allergies with skin reactions and discomfort sensations is critical to evaluating the impact on quality of life. Since skin barrier alteration is hypothesized as a risk factor and a route of sensitization for allergy development, the daily use of topical treatments, such as moisturizers, could help prevent allergic skin reactions, discomfort and impaired quality of life in individuals with an altered skin barrier.

Spatial distribution of atmospheric bioaerosols in Beijing, Hangzhou and Wuhan, China
In this study, air samples were collected in various planned areas of three cities in China (Beijing, Hangzhou and Wuhan) using a new liquid-based sampler. Animal, plant and bacterial components were quantified according to the expression levels of housekeeping genes via real-time PCR and analysis of cycle threshold (Ct) values.
