Thrombus Length Estimation on Delayed Gadolinium-Enhanced T1 Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The dGE-T1, obtained by simply adjusting scanning order in multimodal magnetic resonance imaging protocol, is a useful tool for thrombus length estimation and middle cerebral artery recanalization prediction after IVT.

Impact of thrombus length on recanalization and clinical outcome following mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke
Conclusions In this study, thrombus length had no relevant impact on recanalization, neurological outcome, or intraprocedural complications following mechanical thrombectomy of middle cerebral artery occlusions. Therefore, mechanical thrombectomy with stent retrievers can be attempted with large clots.

Intravenous Thrombolysis in Posterior Circulation Stroke
Conclusions: Up to date, no data about PCIS and IVT are available from RTCs. Based on limited results from retrospective clinical studies and case series, IVT is safer for use in PCIS than in ACIS. Patients with brainstem ischemia, vertebral artery occlusion, and absence of basilar or posterior cerebral artery occlusion could be considered for treatment with IVT even in borderline cases. Prestroke statin use enhances collateralization in acute ischemic stroke patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that prestroke statin use was associated with good leptomeningeal collaterals and clinical outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients presenting with occlusion of the middle cerebral artery. Causal role of non-stenotic hypodense plaques with high FDG uptake detected with PET-CT angiography in patients with unknown cause of stroke?
Conclusions In this exploratory study, we found a high prevalence of non-stenotic hypodense plaques with high FDG uptake (TBR max. > 1.80) in carotid arteries ipsilateral to cerebral ischemia suggesting a causal role for these plaque in patients with unknown cause of stroke. In comparison to high-resolution MRI, the imaging criteria used in this study for the identification of complicated plaques were very simple and easy to implement. Influence of Onset to Imaging Time on Radiological Thrombus Characteristics in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: In our population of acute ischemic stroke patients, we found no clear association between onset-to-imaging time and radiological thrombus characteristics. This suggests that elapsed time from stroke onset plays a limited role in the interpretation of radiological thrombus characteristics and their effect on treatment results, at least in the early time window.

No Association Between Thrombus Perviousness and Cardioembolic Stroke Etiology in Basilar Artery Occlusion Stroke
Conclusion: In contrast to proximal middle cerebral artery occlusions, TP in BAO patients is not associated with cardioembolic stroke etiology. Larger confirmatory studies to establish the potential role of TP for clinical applications should focus on patients with anterior circulation stroke.
