Conclusions: In unilateral symptomatic intracranial carotid artery occlusion, poor prognosis and high mortality–associated territorial stroke pattern is frequently observed. Characteristics of Symptomatic Basilar Artery Stenosis Using High-Resolution Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Ischemic Stroke Patients.

Visualization of Lenticulostriate Arteries by Flow-Sensitive Black-Blood MR Angiography on a 1.5T MRI System: A Comparative Study between Subjects with and without Stroke BRAIN
CONCLUSIONS: Using FSBB-MRA to visualize LSA branches, we found a significant reduction in the numbers of LSA branches in patients with stroke, and hypertension was inversely related to total LSA length. FSBB is a promising method to investigate the LSA by using 1.5T MR imaging.

Recurrent Intra-Luminal Aortic Thrombus And Ischemic Stroke In A Patient With Essential Thrombocythemia (P6.262)
CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the importance of recognizing essential thrombocythemia as an entity that can lead to devastating complications, including acute coronary syndrome and either arterial and venous thrombosis. Early recognition and effective cytoreductive therapy are cornerstones to the prevention of recurrent embolism.
