Beating vs Arrested Heart Isolated Tricuspid Valve Surgery: Long-term Outcomes
CONCLUSIONS: Isolated tricuspid valve surgery performed with a beating heart strategy is a safe option and resulted in a trend of increased long-term survival and freedom from reoperation when compared with the standard arrested heart technique. Aortic and mitral valve surgery for infective endocarditis with reconstruction of the intervalvular fibrous body: an analysis of clinical outcomes.
Conclusions: The double-valve replacement and AMC reconstruction (the Commando procedure) is an effective technique in complex heart valve disease. Thromboembolic and bleeding risk stratification according to the EHRA valvular heart disease classification in patients with atrial fibrillation
ConclusionThis systematic analysis in real life conditions shows that distinguishing AF patients according to the new EHRA valve classification could be relevant for creating more homogenous groups of patients in terms of TE and bleeding risk. This clearer classification than the previous one should be useful as in clinical research for harmonization of studies, as well as in clinical practice for targeted choices of OAC therapy.
