Social Determinants of Emergency Department Visits among Persons Diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease and Stroke.
Conclusion: Being Black, unmarried, unemployed, and having lower income levels were associated with a higher likelihood of having ≥1 ED visits in the prior 12 months among individuals with a CHD or stroke diagnosis. Risk Factors of Pediatric Arterial Ischemic Stroke; A Regional Survey
Conclusion:The fndings of our study indicated that the most common risk factors for AIS in the two studied regions are congenital heart and vascular diseases. The results of the current study could be used for planning morepreventive strategies in patients suffering from the mentioned diseases. Educational inequality in cardiovascular diseases: a sibling approach.
CONCLUSIONS: Confounding from factors shared by siblings explained the associations between education and the cardiovascular disease outcomes but to varying degrees. This should be taken into account when planning interventions aimed at reducing educational inequalities in the development of cardiovascular disease, ischaemic heart disease and stroke.
