Canagliflozin Inhibits Human Endothelial Cell Proliferation and Tube Formation
In conclusion, the present study identified canagliflozin as a potent inhibitor of human EC proliferation. The anti-proliferative action of canagliflozin is observed in ECs isolated from both the venous and arterial circulation, and is partly due to the blockade of cyclin A expression. In addition, this study found that canagliflozin inhibits tube formation in cultured ECs and mouse aortic rings. Notably, these actions are specific for canagliflozin and not seen with other SGLT2 inhibitors. Nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis presenting as intracerebral hemorrhage.
We report a case of nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis complicated by intracerebral hemorrhage as the first manifestation of adenocarcinoma of the lung. The endocarditis led to severe aortic regurgitation. In view of the advanced stage of lung cancer, the patient refused further therapy. Hemorrhagic Brain Metastases as a Diagnosis of Exclusion: A Diagnostic Dilemma
We have read with great interest the study published in The American Journal of Medicine by Juan et  al.1 The authors presented a patient with symptoms of left hemiparesis and left facial palsy for whom computed tomography of the brain showed a single hemorrhagic lesion in the right basal ganglia. They also reported that the patient had a medical history of adenocarcinoma of the lung and hyperten sion. They presented a diagnostic dilemma, with hemorrhagic stroke or hemorrhagic brain metastasis as the cause of the hemorrhagic lesion.

Effective chemotherapy and targeted therapy supplemented with stereotactic radiotherapy of a patient with metastatic colon cancer following renal transplantation: a case report
ConclusionsSince information is scarce regarding oncological treatment of patients following organ transplantation, data about their oncological treatment is essential. To our knowledge, this is the first case report to describe the successful chemotherapy and targeted therapy supplemented with stereotactic radiotherapy of a posttransplant patient with metastatic colorectal cancer.
