Effective Mechanical Thrombectomy in a Patient with Hyperacute Ischemic Stroke Associated with Cardiac Myxoma
We describe a patient with hyperacute stroke caused by cardiac myxoma who had a good outcome with rapid recanalization through mechanical thrombectomy. A 46-year-old man was admitted with acute symptoms of right side hemiplegia and global aphasia. Brain computed tomography (CT) angiography showed a T occlusion of the left internal carotid artery. Primary Angiitis of the Central Nervous System Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—Adult primary angiitis of the central nervous system is a heterogenous disease, with multiterritorial, distal, and bilateral acute stroke being the most common pattern of parenchymal lesions found on magnetic resonance imaging. Our findings suggest a higher than previously thought prevalence of hemorrhagic transformation and other hemorrhagic manifestations.

Posterior circulation ischemic stroke in childhood and neurofibromatosis type 2
We report the clinical and genetic findings and review the previous literature on vasculopathy reported in association with NF2, with a focus on the symptoms presenting at disease onset. For our case patient, an unpublished germline mutation resulting in frameshift (c.876_877insT) was identified on blood screening. We report our full multidisciplinary assessment with vascular angiography, volumetric MRI and audiometry. Vasculopathy is not currently included in the criteria traditionally used for diagnosis of NF2. We suggest that vascular stroke in childhood may be considered a presenting symptom for NF2.

A Unique Presentation of Pediatric Stroke Attributed to Intrathecal Methotrexate (P3.309)
CONCLUSIONS:This is a rare case of ischemic watershed infarcts with diffuse reversible cerebral vasospasm, after intrathecal methotrexate. Acute ischaemic stroke and myocardial infarction after chemotherapy with vinorelbine for non-small cell lung cancer: a case report.
We report about a 70-year-old male with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who received vinorelbine as an outpatient. The patient presents with a cardiovascular risk profile. 18F-Choline Uptake in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Abstract: A 75-year-old man with a history of prostate cancer was referred to our department to perform 18F-choline (FCH) PET/CT. FCH PET/CT showed a markedly increased uptake in the right temporoparietal junction brain. Three weeks earlier, acute ischemic stroke was diagnosed in the right temporoparietal junction brain on diffusion-weighted sequence and thrombosis in a distal branch of the right middle cerebral artery on MR angiography. Choline precursors promote repair and growth of cell membranes in neurologic diseases, so FCH PET/CT uptake could be explained by repair processes during early outcome of acute ischemic stroke.
