ConclusionsModerate frequency of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (5-9 time/week) and walking (4-5 time/week) significantly lowers the risk of stroke, whereas high-frequency physical activity reduces the benefits of physical activity.Implications for Cancer SurvivorsPhysical activity with moderate frequency is important in the prevention of stroke for long-term colorectal cancer survivors.

The Association Between Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease, Stroke, and Extrahepatic Cancers
CONCLUSIONS: NAFLD is associated with increased risks of CVD and stroke or cerebrovascular disease among adults. There appears to be increased risk of breast and colorectal cancers. A Case Report of Ischemic Stroke in a Patient with Metastatic Gastric Cancer Secondary to Treatment with the Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-2 Inhibitor Ramucirumab
Ramucirumab is an antiangiogenesis agent targeting the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2), approved to treat advanced gastric and colon cancer. In clinical trials, it was shown to cause a small increase in arterial thromboembolism compared to placebo, including cerebral and myocardial ischemia, which was not statistically significant. Conclusions: Though mortality rates have declined over the past 30 years for women under 50, significant disparities in the two leading causes of death, cancer and CVD, remain. The persistence of disparities across diseases highlights the need to focus on improving health outcomes broadly, in addition to disease centered approaches, in order to prevent premature deaths among young women.
