Intravenous immunoglobulin and rituximab in a treatment ‐refractory COVID‐19‐associated central nervous system vasculitis: A case report and literature review
In this study, we present the first case of treatment-refractory CNS vasculitis associated with COVID-19, which was treated successfully with intravenous immunoglobulin and rituximab. Second, we repo rt a review of COVID-19-related CNS vasculitis articles and applied treatment strategies published in English. To elucidate the mechanism of COVID-19-related CNS vasculitis, further research is needed.

Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy in Adult Patients With COVID-19: A Systematic Review of Case Reports and Case Series
CONCLUSIONS: The diagnosis of COVID-19-associated ANE requires a thorough knowledge of the disease. Since the clinical presentations of ANE are neither sensitive nor specific, further laboratory and brain radiological evaluations will be needed to confirm the diagnosis. The suspicion of ANE should be raised among patients with COVID-19 who present with progressive neurological symptoms.PMID:37455513 | DOI:10.3988/jcn.2022.0431

Corticosteroid-Associated Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head in Patients with Severe COVID-19: A Single-Center Study
CONCLUSIONS The data from this study corroborate earlier studies and case reports, suggesting an increased occurrence of AVN of the femoral head during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the high-dose corticosteroid therapy employed for patients hospitalized with severe COVID-19 pneumonia.PMID:37431094 | DOI:10.12659/MSM.940965

Anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor encephalitis and positive human herpesvirus-7 deoxyribonucleic acid in cerebrospinal fluid: a case report
ConclusionsWe present a pediatric case of anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor encephalitis with atypical clinical presentation. The role of human herpesvirus-7 in neurological disorders remains unclear in immunocompetent patients.

SARS-CoV-2 associated posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) - a review of 82 cases
CONCLUSIONS: PRES can be a CNS complication associated with COVID-19. COVID-19 patients with mental dysfunction, seizures or visual disturbances should immediately undergo CNS imaging through multimodal MRI, electroencephalography (EEG) and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) studies in order not to miss PRES.PMID:37271853

Aberrant brain entropy in posttraumatic stress disorder comorbid with major depressive disorder during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic
ConclusionThe results showed that the R_MFOG is a potential marker for showing the symptom severity of PTSD-MDD comorbidity. Consequently, PTSD-MDD may have reduced BEN in frontal and basal ganglia regions which are related to emotional dysregulation and cognitive deficits.

The location of unilateral axillary lymphadenopathy after COVID-19 vaccination compared with that of metastasis from breast cancer without vaccination
ConclusionThe presence of deep axillary lymphadenopathy may be an important factor for distinguishing post-vaccination lymphadenopathy from metastasis. The number of axillary lymph nodes may also help.

Validation of myocarditis diagnoses in the Swedish patient register for analyses of potential adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines
CONCLUSION: This validation of register-based diagnoses of myocarditis by manual patient record review confirmed the register diagnosis in 96% of cases and had high interrater reliability. Reclassification had only a minor impact on the incidence rate ratios for myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination.PMID:37223633 | PMC:PMC10202079 | DOI:10.48101/ujms.v128.9290
