Recurrent Ileo-ileal Intussusception Caused by Inflammatory Fibroid Polyp: A Rare Case Report
We present a case of a 46-year-old female admitted to our clinic with recurrent ileus attacks. We performed segmental resection of the small bowel due to a 3-cm pedunculated polypoid lesion located in the terminal ileum that caused ileo-ileal intussusception and whose pathology was reported as an inflammatory fibroid polyp. In adults presenting with ileus, the possibility of intussusception should be kept in mind.PMID:38310437 | PMC:PMC10685829 | DOI:10.34172/aim.2023.53 (Source: Archives of Iranian Medicine)

Resectoscopic surgery: a 5-year audit of over a thousand procedures at a central hospital
Introduction and aimsof the study: Endometrial polyps and submucous myomas are two of the most frequent pathologies in Gynaecology. Resectoscopy is a surgical technique performed in order to treat these pathologies, allowing access to the uterine cavity, confirmation of the diagnosis and removal of the lesions at the same operative time. Sometimes this technique is performed an incomplete or unsuccessful office hysteroscopy, and it is frequently performed in an outpatient setting. Device-assisted enteroscopy in the surveillance of intestinal hamartomas in Peutz-Jeghers syndrome
Conclusions Endoscopic management of small bowel polyps in patients with PJS using DAE is an effective strategy for prophylactic removal of hamartomas. DAE surveillance and endoscopic polypectomy is safe and may decrease the need for repeated laparotomy in patients with PJS. Digital cholangioscopy-assisted, direct visualization-guided, radiation-free, endoscopic retrograde intervention for cholelithiasis: technical feasibility, efficacy, and safety
ConclusionsThe technical profile, efficacy, and safety of nonradiation-guided and DCS-guided lithotomy are shown in this study. We provide a feasible modality for the endoscopic removal of cholelithiasis.Graphical abstract (Source: Surgical Endoscopy)

Effectiveness and safety of thin vs. thick cold snare polypectomy of small colorectal polyps: Systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions We found no differences in CR rates for CSP between thin-wire and thick-wire snares. CSP, regardless of snare type, is safe and effective for resection of small colorectal polyps.
