Blocking virus infection with soluble cell receptors
We recently discussed the development of a soluble receptor for HIV-1 that provides broad and effective protection against infection of cells and of nonhuman primates. Twenty-five years ago my laboratory published a paper which concluded that using soluble receptors to block virus infection might not be a good idea. In the first paragraph of that paper we wrote: …it has been proposed that soluble cell receptors might be effective antiviral therapeutics. It has been suggested that mutants resistant to the antiviral effects of soluble receptors would not arise, because mutations that abrogate binding to receptors ...

CNBC publishes an antivaccine press release from the Weston A. Price Foundation and Leslie Manookian
One of the things I’ve noticed over the last decade of covering pseudoscience and quackery from a skeptical point of view is that no pseudoscientific trope ever really dies. This is particularly true of antivaccine tropes. No matter how many times this piece or that of antivaccine misinformation is slapped down, sooner or later it… (Source: Respectful Insolence)

California Infant Dies after 8 Vaccines, Family Gets Him Back from Hospital Cremated
Conclusion As long as vaccine manufacturers avoid doing causation studies, as long as this data doesn’t exist, health officials and published vaccine-promoting, peer-reviewed literature can state there is no proof vaccines cause SIDS or other vaccine injuries. How can a medical examiner be sure of which vaccine caused a person’s health to decline when multiple vaccines are given at a time? Overstimulating the immune system via vaccination can lead to a fatal outcome. Since it is proven difficult to narrow down which vaccine contributed to a child’s death after vaccination, giving numerous or combination vaccines shou...

Frozen 2 Soon: The Anti-Vaxx Years Coming Soon!
Lake Buena Vista -- After the wildly successful Frozen franchise and ground zero to the largest U.S. measles outbreak since elimination was documented in 2000, the Walt Disney Corporation (WDC) announced the release of Frozen 2 Soon:  The Anti-Vaxx Years to capture the hearts, imaginations and wallets of an ever growing population of anti-vaccination families.Frozen 2 Soon:  The Anti-Vaxx Years Coming Soon!To compliment the movie, crews at Florida's Walt Disney World Theme Park have been feverishly working around-the-clock constructing the Frozen 2 Soon display at Magic Kingdom, where unvaccinated children and th...

Forget the ivory tower: We need more Disney in medicine
This isn’t a debate about vaccines. The fight here has nothing to do with that. For the record, I strongly support the concept of vaccination. Public health is better in the 21st century because of it. Measles? Mumps? Oh, I can find you in the United States, but we aren’t living our lives every day petrified of an outbreak. Smallpox? Polio? Where did you go? Not here, that’s for sure. And, what if you had lived in West Africa in mid-2014? A proven vaccine for Ebola would have been a godsend. Continue reading ... An unexpected benefit of inactivated poliovirus vaccine
This study shows that a dose of IPV is more effective than OPV at boosting intestinal immunity in children who have previously been immunized with OPV. Both IPV and OPV should be used together in the polio eradication program. WHO therefore recommends the following vaccine regimens: In all countries using OPV only, at least 1 dose of type 2 IPV should be added to the schedule. In polio-endemic countries and in countries with a high risk for wild poliovirus importation and spread: one OPV birth dose, followed by 3 OPV and at least 1 IPV doses. In countries with high immunization coverage (90-95%) and low wild poliovirus i...

This is Why You Should Not Blindly Follow Your Doctor’s Advice to Vaccinate
Conclusion Most of us have been trained to believe that vaccines are safe and prevent disease. It is very confusing to first realize that this may not be true. Tremendous pressures exist from physicians, hospitals, family and the public school systems to vaccinate ourselves and our children. Physicians are taught to recommend vaccinations as a first-line defense against disease, while they are not taught the serious health damages created by vaccines. Physicians often blindly follow the recommendations of their professional organizations to vaccinate, without doing any independent research. Those few physicians and nurses ...

Part II: THE IMITATION GAME meets HOW I CAME TO HATE MATH/ Comment J’ai Détesté Les Maths Moral Relativism vs Beneficence and Justice: Maths and Economics
HOW I CAME TO HATE MATH/ Comment J'ai Détesté Les Maths is a film Directed by Olivier Peyon and written along with Amandine Escoffier. It  is a documentary whose initial purpose seems hijacked by historical events. Its parallel to the fictional historical biopic thriller, THE IMITATION GAME, screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival 2014, need be made.  The MATH story, like in THE IMITATION GAME, begins lightly with young people who are awkward. Some of them, like Alan Turing,  grow into the lovely eccentricity that those who both love and understand maths often bear. Peyton’s film tours...

10 Reasons Not To Vaccinate
Conclusion You are on your own to try and regain your health in the event that you are vaccine injured. The expense and suffering is yours alone to face. Very few individuals will be awarded money from funds set up by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act. The system is designed for individuals to fail in making their claim of vaccine injury. The public pays for this injury fund in the cost of taxes on vaccinations. To learn more, read my other in-depth articles on vaccinations which have been published on VacTruth or Natural News, here: Vaccinations You may also check the resources below. This is How Doctors are Puppets for Vaccine Manufacturers
Conclusion Relevant information is intentionally hidden from doctors so that they may feel more comfortable about recommending vaccines. It is impossible for doctors and health authorities to know the complete composition of vaccines. The moral ethics of vaccine promoters, including health authorities and doctors who recommend or administer vaccines should be questioned, when the compositions of vaccines are unknown. The legal justification for official approval of vaccines should be questioned when the ingredients are not known. “Informed consent” is impossible when relevant information is concealed.   ...

Antivaccinationists versus Jonas Salk’s centennial
One thing that happened this week that I didn’t get around to writing about is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jonas Salk, which was October 28. The 100th birth anniversary of Jonas Salk
Jonas Salk, who lead the team that developed the first poliovirus vaccine, was born 100 years ago today, 28 October 1914, in New York City. Numerous sites across the country have convened symposia in his honor. Last week City College of New York, where Salk earned a bachelor’s degree, held a centennial celebration. The photo shows Salk’s son Peter speaking at the celebration. New York University Medical Center, where Salk obtained his MD degree, also had a celebration last week. The Salk Institute, founded by Jonas Salk, will hold a celebration on 13 November. And today’s Google Doodle is in honor of Dr...
