How to think conceptually?
So, I had a really really hard time in physiology because the questions were very conceptual to me. When I was studying for physio, I would feel like I was understanding the topic and would feel really confident with the material. But as soon as I would do questions, it would feel like some of the correct answers were coming out of nowhere and were complete BS, which they obviously are not. I have tried to really think about what I am studying and approach it from different angles, rather... How to think conceptually? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Upper-level Bio at CC
Hi all, I'm planning to take a few upper-level bio courses at a CC this Fall (biochem, physio, cell bio) to prepare for the MCAT in the Spring because I prefer studying through coursework than on my own. Taking these courses at a CC instead of my local 4-year university will be much more compatible with my work schedule and much less financially straining. Might adcoms view this as gpa padding or have any concern with it? I've already completed all the prereqs (including orgo 2) as a... Upper-level Bio at CC (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Which type of physio class to take? (human or animal)
Hi SDN'ers, while I am planing for my Fall class schedule, I am kinda having a conflict with which type of physiology class to take this Fall. One class is an intro to human physiology class with lab but it's a lower division class (btw, I'm going to be a senior student this Fall), so I don't know how this may be viewed when the dental school reps see the transcript (I heard that the reps like to see you taking upper div science classes in especially senior year). Another class is an upper... Which type of physio class to take? (human or animal) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Step 1 8 weeks out. NBME 230. Suggestions?
Greetings. I've been studying roughly 2-4 hours a day since about 5 months ago for my upcoming Step 1 (8 weeks). Dedicated study period just started a couple weeks ago (7 hours minimum per day). I've gone through: Kaplan LN (with video lectures) x 1 First Aid x 1 UWorld x 1 (70% on most blocks, some less) Pathoma x 1 I'm currently doing BRS Physio. Gave an NBME about a week ago and got a 230. I might be overreaching but I'm aiming above 260 (they say aim for the stars) and I'd like your... Step 1 8 weeks out. NBME 230. Suggestions? Confused on Post-Bacc Situation
Hello everyone, Fifth and final year of undergrad is underway in Philosophy... I've completed a year of gen. bio w/ lab, a semester of gen. physics (non-calc based) w/lab, and a semester of gen. chem w/lab, as well as Biostatistics. Also, I used to study Speech & Hearing Science before switching majors, so I took a bunch of "science" classes such as anat and physio of speech mechanisms, sound science, phonetics, etc... My point of this post is that I intend to complete a post-bacc, but I... Confused on Post-Bacc Situation (Source: Student Doctor Network)
