What can an APPE student do now to break into industry?
As stated I'm an APPE student who just recently wanted to explore potential work in industry but has no industry rotations and no research experience as of yet. What are some things I can do now to be more attractive to obtain a potential entry level and eventually a MSL position at a pharma company? Alternatively what are some things I can do to help my chances to obtain an industry fellowship? I can try my best to obtain a research rotation instead of take an offblock if you guys think...

Should I stay in this research project?
Basically the research project I'm participating is sponsored by pharma and is for some kind of rare disease (we see less than 10 patients per year that have this condition). My role basically consist of clerical work in this moment (ex: IRB, documents, forms, etc.). Is this even considered clinical research by adcoms? Do trade group restrictions have teeth?
From what I understand, in 2009 there was a change in marketing rules by a trade association called the "Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America"
The rule stated that pharma companies could no longer give out trinkets such as branded pens and notepads. What would be the penalty if a company broke this...

Mylan and epi pen
People generally go into business to make money.
It must be an amazing feeling for these heroes when they incidentally get to save lives...
Although I wonder if it takes a certain kind of businessperson to go into pharma. Saving or improving lives doesn't really register as a positive OR negative. Except in the sense that you know people HAVE to buy your product to stay alive, which creates all kinds of opportunities for you and your investors....
