Would this count as community service on TMDSAS?
This semester I'm doing an unpaid internship. In this, my responsibility is to work with disadvantaged communities and their leaders to combat obesity, diabetes, etc. and help them improve their overall health. My question is would this count as community service on TMDSAS when I apply? Patients
PGY2 here in a surg specialty. I came into medicine thinking I loved patient contact and surgery. Both of those dwindled during rotations, and even more in residency. Outright bored of being in the OR now, and not just the really uninteresting stuff like hip, but everything else too.
I still love patient contact, my issue is with the patients themselves. Most of the patients are one of the following: alcoholics, rude, excessively overweight etc. I don't have anything against those traits...

Intraop Oliguria
Hey everyone,
So what do you guys think about intraop oliguria/anuria? Does it matter? How do you manage it?
Had a spine case on an obese gentleman, prone position. He stopped making urine during the case, down to 5cc an hour for a couple hours. Tried fluid boluses to no avail. His BPs and lactate were stable the whole time. Flipped him supine at the end of the case and he started making urine again. Was I just treating a number with the fluid boluses?
