What Vet schools should I apply to
I'm not sure on what vet schools to apply to based on my academics. I'm from New Jersey so I do not have a in state school. My cum gpa for undergrad was a 3.08. I'm in gradschool now for epidemiology and my gpa is a 3.9, I know they look at the last 45 credits but I'm not sure how much this will help. I'm still taking some pre reqs like bio chem, medical term and public speaking this summer. The only class I haven't taken was animal nutrition and I'm not sure if Iam or not. I'm going to... Orgo I, Microbiology, and Anatomy in 1 semester?
For the fall of 2020, I am scheduled to take organic I, gen. microbiology, and human anatomy, each with its own laboratory. Am I possibly making a mistake? This past semester I took cell biology, gen chem 2, and nutrition, and had no issues with As in each. Should I just shoulder the load, or replace one of these classes with physics 2? Thank you in advance. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

SOS need pre-dental advice for low GPA: post bacc or masters?
Hi guys! So I am quite lost in my dental journey and am just trying to figure out a plan, which is leaving me nothing but stressed. I majored in Nutrition and Medical Sciences, so I got all of my pre-req's for dental school out of the way (besides physics II because my major didn't require that). My undergrad GPA is a 2.93, which I know is going to make it more challenging to get accepted into a dental program. One bad semester in my undergrad really plummeted my GPA. I took the DAT once... [Asking for a friend] Graduated 7 years ago, what to do about LoR?
Hi guys! A friend I work with graduated undergrad with a degree in nutrition 7 years ago and she is thinking about applying to medical school next cycle. She's worked in a couple different fields but is currently a dietitian/nutritionist at the hospital I work at. She has a lot of great experiences and she's currently studying for the MCAT to take in January. Her issue is with letters of recommendation. Since she graduated 7 years ago, she doesn't know how to contact her science professors... [Asking for a friend] Graduated 7 years ago, what to do about LoR? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Fasting/Ketosis for cognition
Doing a little experiment going into my exam tomorrow. We’ll see how it plays out. I’m a nutritional ketosis enthusiast and should be above 5 mmol by tomorrow morning with glucose down to the mid to upper 60’s. Just tested and am currently at 3.4 mmol beta hydroxybutrate and 78 mg/dL on glucose. It usually takes longer to flip the switch so to speak, as I’m only approaching 36 hours of fasting, but I had a pretty good workout yesterday morning which I’m sure helped speed the process... Chances of MD with active Hep B?
Hi SDN, I am seeking some advice/opinions on the viability of having a fulfilling medical career as a physician if I have chronic Hepatitis B. I was born oversea and got it via vertical transmission. I've read posts from prospective MDs who are carriers inquiring about their chances into med school. While those thread give great advice and outlook, I find them hard to relate to because my infection is very much active (though, managed) and can't be denied nor hidden away until...
