Why are we giving ECFMG status to those countries that have not fully recognized the DO?
Because of the UN recognition in 2018, lots of doors have been opening up for DOs internationally. 88 countries have been approached and 85 of them have given us full recognition. France, Barbados, and slightly Norway has restricted us to OMM. The limit used to exist in some other African countries, which have been fixed by the AMCOA convention in 2019 after the UN recognition.
