A Flexible Rectangular PCB Coil to Excite Uniform Magnetic Field in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy: Design, Optimization and Implementation
AbstractIn this article, a rectangular coil in the form of a flexible printed circuit board (F-PCB) with FR4 substrate is designed and fabricated. Owing to its flexibility, the coil can be curved which facilities its use in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Two samples of this F-PCB coil are faced each other in place, aiming to achieve a range with a uniform magnetic field in the middle of the coils. The performance of the proposed structure is compared with a planar PCB structure. Although the developed coil is intended for NMR spectroscopy, it can also be used in other applications such as wireless power tra...

Bioactive components of whole grain and their effect on health
Nutr Hosp. 2024 Mar 14. doi: 10.20960/nh.04986. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTNon-communicable diseases represent a global health burden with increasing prevalence. To prevent or improve this type of diseases, dietary strategies based on healthy foods have been suggested. Cereals are the most consumed foods in the world and preventive effects of whole grains on health have been described. The germ and bran of cereals are abundant in bioactive compounds, including phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals and fibers, and these compounds are effective in preventing and improving non-communicable diseases. This review analyzes the c...

Health-promoting benefits of lentils: Anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects
Curr Res Physiol. 2024 Mar 5;7:100124. doi: 10.1016/j.crphys.2024.100124. eCollection 2024.ABSTRACTThis paper describes how lentils (Lens culinaris species) can positively affect health by reducing inflammation, providing antioxidants, and displaying antimicrobial properties. Lentils are rich in proteins, essential amino acids, minerals, and fibers, making them a valuable source of nutrition, particularly in low and middle-income countries. Lentils have many health benefits, including positive effects on diabetes management, support for cardiovascular health, and antioxidative properties. The antioxidative properties of le...
