Two similar carbon monoxide poisoning cases with different outcomes: evidence from longitudinal fMRI
We report here two cases of carbon monoxide poisoning with simultaneous coma. They were nearly normal on days 7-8, but diagnosed with delayed neurological sequelae (DNS) with cognitive and motor impairments on days 22-29. Similar Methylprednisolone pulse therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy were given to them. The movement disorder of case 1 improved slightly during the recovery stage, while the movement disorder of case 2 worsened significantly. In case 1, the function of supplementary motor area decreased first and then increased, and the function of pallidum increased first and then decreased. Case 2 showed a reduction...

Case report: Successful treatment of an anti-D2R and DPPX antibody-associated autoimmune encephalitis patient with high-dose methylprednisolone and intravenous immunoglobulin
ConclusionsThe current patient represents the first reported case of double-positive autoimmune encephalitis for anti-D2R and DPPX antibodies, with epilepsy as a prominent feature. High-dose methylprednisolone pulse therapy combined with IVIG has shown significant safety and efficacy in treating anti-D2R and DPPX antibody-positive autoimmune encephalitis-associated epilepsy. Current Insights into Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Clinical Strategies for Prevention and Treatment
CONCLUSION: We propose a multifunctional panel construct and define standard data items for future research into carpal tunnel syndrome. A discussion on idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome, risk factors, combination of therapies, using guidelines-based recommendations and treatment should be initiated.PMID:38385490 | DOI:10.2174/0113894501280331240213063333 (Source: Current Drug Targets)

Frequency of Complications After Kidney Transplant in the Early Postoperative Period
CONCLUSIONS: Despite the frequency of postoperative complications, timely assistance and further monitoring of patients can lead to normal functioning of the kidney transplant, except for cases of hyperacute rejection.PMID:38385397 | DOI:10.6002/ect.MESOT2023.P25 (Source: Experimental and Clinical Transplantation : official journal of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation)
