Preparatory information reduces gastroscopy-related stress in children as confirmed by salivary cortisol
Conclusions: We demonstrated that when endoscopic procedure is explained broadly to a child, the procedural stress is significantly less, as measured by the s-cortisol levels and the anxiety questionnaire.
