Benefits from Exclusion Treatment of Unruptured Brain Arteriovenous Malformations on Epilepsy in Adults
ConclusionOur results suggest that exclusion treatment in unruptured bAVMs with epilepsy is associated with a  higher seizure-free rate in comparison with conservative management. Data from randomized controlled studies are necessary to confirm these findings. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Functional Connectivity of Nucleus Accumbens Is Associated with Lifelong Premature Ejaculation in Male Adults
ConclusionThe findings may facilitate a  more sophisticated understanding of neural mechanisms of lifelong PE, particularly associated with the NAcc-related intrinsic connectivity during the resting state. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Accuracy and Prognostic Role of NCCT-ASPECTS Depend on Time from Acute Stroke Symptom-onset for both Human and Machine-learning Based Evaluation
ConclusionThe accuracy and reliability of NCCT-ASPECTS are time dependent for both human and machine-learning based evaluation, indicating reduced detectability of fast stroke progressors by NCCT. In hyperacute stroke, collateral status from CT-angiography may help for a  better prognosis on clinical outcome and explain the occurrence of futile recanalization. Preprocedural Imaging
AbstractBackgroundEndovascular treatment (EVT) has strong evidence for its effectiveness in treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS); however, up to half of the patients who undergo EVT still do not have good functional outcomes. Various prethrombectomy radiological factors have been shown to be associated with good clinical outcomes and may be the key to better functional outcomes, reduced complications, and reduced mortality. In this paper, we reviewed the current literature on these imaging parameters so they can be employed to better estimate the probability of procedural success, therefore allowing for more effective ...

Anterior Pituitary Volume in Patients with Transfusion Dependent Anemias: Volumetric Approaches and Relation to Pituitary MRI ‑R2
ConclusionAccurate assessment of anterior pituitary size requires 3D or precise 2D volumetry, with shorter analysis time for the latter. Anterior pituitary volume Z ‑scores and R2 allow for the identification of patients at risk of pituitary dysfunction. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

MR Brain Screening in ADPKD Patients
ConclusionIn our population ADPKD patients showed a  higher prevalence of IAs, AC and arterial variants compared to non-ADPKD. Most of the IAs were found in patients presenting a PKD1 mutation. We found a significant number of alterations even in those patients without a family history of IAs or SAH. The practice of submitting only patients with familial IAs or kidney transplantation candidates to MRI scan should be re-evaluated. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Assessment of Artificial Intelligence Automatic Multiple Sclerosis Lesion Delineation Tool for Clinical Use
ConclusionAfter adaptation to our local dataset, the implemented segmentation model was able to delineate MS lesions with a  high clinical value as rated by delineation experts while outperforming popular out of the box applications. This serves as a promising step towards implementation of automatic lesion delineation in our MS clinic. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)
