Subpial Hemorrhage
ConclusionSubpial hemorrhage has a  distinctive MR pattern, with underlying parenchymal venous infarction, and can occur in term and preterm neonates. This study results suggest an association between subpial hemorrhage and cerebellar microbleeds but further studies are required to confirm it and better understand the pathophysiolog y of subpial hemorrhage. Predictors of Early Neurological Improvement in Patients with Anterior Large Vessel Occlusion and Successful Reperfusion Following Endovascular Thrombectomy —Does CT Perfusion Imaging Matter?
ConclusionCTP ASPECTS might better predict ENI than non-contrast CT at baseline in patients with successful reperfusion following EVT. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Plasma TDP-43 Reflects Cortical Neurodegeneration and Correlates with Neuropsychiatric Symptoms in Huntington ’s Disease
ConclusionOur results suggest that the presence of TDP-43 pathology in HD has an independent contribution to the severity of neuropsychiatric symptoms and frontotemporal degeneration. These findings point out the importance of TDP-43 as an additional pathological process to be taken into consideration in this devastating disorder. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Posterior Limb of Internal Capsule Infarct Predicts Functional Outcome in Acute Terminal Internal Carotid Artery Occlusion After Thrombectomy
ConclusionsIn acute ICA occlusion, PLIC infarct is an independent risk factor for worse clinical outcome at 90 days. The lack of CPE was associated with PLIC infarct, and pretreatment CTA can be useful for early diagnosis. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Independent Significance of Visual Assessment of Perfusion CT Maps in Anterior Circulation Stroke Patients Treated with Mechanical Thrombectomy
ConclusionWe demonstrated that both visually graded CTP and collateral circulation grade strongly correlated with the clinical outcome of MT in the anterior circulation of AIS patients. Importantly, CTP correlated with the clinical outcome independent of the collateral circulation. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Hypoperfusion Intensity Ratio Predicts Infarct Growth After Successful Thrombectomy for Distal Medium Vessel Occlusion
ConclusionGood collaterals on initial CTP assessed by an HIR<  0.3 are associated with less infarct growth after successful recanalization of AIS caused by a DMVO. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Radiological Evaluation Criteria for Chronic Subdural Hematomas
ConclusionThere are numerous published methods on how to evaluate cSDH thickness, cSDH volume and midline shift but no common standard. The definition of measurement methods and reporting standards for MMA embolization in cSDH patients and their validation needs to be addressed. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Hybrid [18F]-F-DOPA PET/MRI Interpretation Criteria and Scores for Glioma Follow-up After Radiotherapy
ConclusionsOur scoring approach combining F ‑DOPA PET and MRI provided better accuracy than conventional PET analyses for distinguishing TP from TRC in our patients after radiation therapy. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Diagnostic Performance of MRA for UnrupturedAneurysms at the Distal ICA
ConclusionThree-dimensional TOF-MRA can accurately depict and display morphologic features of distal ICA UIAs. Tiny or giant-sized distal ICA aneurysms and with lobulation tend to carry a  great risk of misdiagnosis in morphologic assessments. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Navigating the Parotid Glands: Anatomy, Imaging Work-up and Next Steps
This article reviews parotid anatomy and function, as it relates to various lesions that may occur within the gland. Key morphlogic features of lesions are discussed with an emphasis on those that warrant biopsy and those that do not need biopsy. Various biopsy methods using ultrasound and computed tomography are reviewed. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Radiation Exposure During Diagnostic and Therapeutic Angiography of Carotid-cavernous Fistula
ConclusionThis article reports on diagnostic and therapeutic DRLs in the management of CCF that could serve as a  benchmark for the national radiation protection authorities. Differentiation by fistula type or embolization method does not seem to be useful. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)
