Intraparenchymal Hyperattenuations on Flat-Panel CT Directly After Mechanical Thrombectomy are Restricted to the Initial Infarct Core on Diffusion-Weighted Imaging
ConclusionThe IPH primarily appeared within the initial ischemic core and secondarily within the penumbral tissue that progressed to infarction. The IPH represent the minimum final infarct volume, which may help in periinterventional decision making. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Transorbital Cavernous Sinus Direct Puncture
ConclusionIn very specific cases, when endovascular access is not possible or fails to occlude cavernous DAVF, direct transorbital puncture of the cavernous sinus was shown to be feasible, safe and very effective. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Transluminal angioplasty and stenting versus conservative treatment in patients with symptomatic basilar artery stenosis
ConclusionIn this retrospective study we could not reproduce the findings from large RCTs on intracranial stenting. Our data could be considered as a  basis for a prospective study on patient selection for PTAS in the basilar artery. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Preliminary Experience with the TransForm Occlusion Balloon Catheter: Safety and Potential Advantages
Conclusion The TOBC was shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms with BAC. In addition, it was successfully employed to perform angioplasty for vasospasm and BTO. Finally, it was used in the balloon anchor technique for the first time. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Pilot study of brain morphometry in a sample of Brazilian children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: influence of clinical presentation
Conclusions In this pilot study, ADHD is associated with abnormalities involving the cortical thickness of the posterior attentional system. The cortical thickness in the left superior, medium and inferior temporal cortex, as well as in the left inferior parietal cortex may differ according to ADHD presentations. Direct carotid cavernous sinus fistulae: vessel reconstruction using flow-diverting implants
Conclusion The usage of FD for the treatment of diCCF is straightforward. Injury of the cranial nerves can be avoided. In most cases, ocular symptoms improve. Several FD layers and/or an adjunctive venous coil occlusion are required. Complete occlusion of a diCCF may take weeks or months and long-term antiaggregation is required. In the future, a flexible stent graft might be a better solution. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Optimized depiction of thalamic substructures with a combination of T1-MPRAGE and phase: MPRAGE*
Conclusion The combination of an optimized MPRAGE protocol with phase data to form an MPRAGE* image leads to a further improvement in the depiction of thalamic substructures, which enables the depiction of thalamic nuclei at 3 T. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)
