Collateral Capacity Assessment
ConclusionBecause of the good interobserver agreement and good agreement with quantitative assessment, the extended collateral score is a  strong candidate to improve prognostic value of collateral assessment and implementation in clinical practice. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

White Matter Characteristics of Damage Along Fiber Tracts in Patients with Type  2 Diabetes Mellitus
ConclusionUsing AFQ, together with DTI and NODDI, various kinds of microstructural alterations in the right SLF, right ARC, left ATR, and FMA can be accurately identified and may be associated with insulin and glucose status and blood pressure in T2DM patients. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Safety and Efficacy of Carotid Artery Stenting with the CGuard Double-layer Stent in Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionThe CGuard use in emergencies was technically feasible, the safety has to be confirmed by further multicentric studies. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Epidural Blood Patching in Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension —Do we Really Seal the Leak?
ConclusionNon-targeted EBP is an effective symptomatic treatment providing short-term relief in a  substantial number of SIH patients; however, successful sealing of the underlying spinal CSF leak by EBP is rare, which might explain the high rate of delayed symptom recurrence. The potentially irreversible and severe morbidity associated with long-standing intracranial hypotension supports perma nent closure of the leak. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Results of Temporary Stent-assisted Coil Embolization (CATS) for the Treatment of Wide-neck Aneurysms
ConclusionTemporary stent-assisted coiling appears to be a  safe and effective treatment method in intracranial wide-neck aneurysms. Procedural safety appears to be comparable with balloon remodeling or permanent stent-assisted coiling, but it comes with the further benefit of diminished need for posttreatment antiplatelet therapy, which may improve the ou tcome of patients. However, to define the true value and potential benefit of this technique, further prospective studies are required. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Combination of Hematoma Volume and Perihematoma Radiomics Analysis on Baseline CT Scan Predicts the Growth of Perihematomal Edema
ConclusionAmong patients with acute ICH, the established nomogram and SVR model with favorable performance can offer a  noninvasive tool for the prediction of PHE after ICH. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Association of Intravenous Thrombolysis with Delayed Reperfusion After Incomplete Mechanical Thrombectomy
ConclusionA DR occurred in 60% of patients with incomplete MT at ~24  h and did not seem to occur more often in patients receiving pretreatment IVT. Further research on potential associations of IVT and DR after MT is required. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Long-Term Middle Meningeal Artery Caliber Reduction Following Trisacryl Gelatine Microsphere Embolization for the Treatment of Chronic Subdural Hematoma
ConclusionLong-term follow-up MRI demonstrated a  significant impact of TAGM embolization on MMA proximal caliber as well as on the visibility of the two main MMA branches. All comparisons indicated that there was a probable lasting impact of embolization on the patency of distal branches. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Outcome of Stroke Patients with Unknown Onset and Unknown Time Last Known Well Undergoing Endovascular Therapy
ConclusionThe LKWu patients had a  similar outcome after ET as KO and LKWk patients after adjusting for confounders. Thus, ET should not be withheld if the time last known well is unknown. Instead, LKWu patients may be selected for ET using the same criteria as in LKWk patients. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)

Ischemic Lesion Growth in Patients with a  Persistent Target Mismatch After Large Vessel Occlusion
ConclusionMultiple patients were identified with limited core growth and large penumbra (persistent target mismatch)>  16 h after stroke onset, likely due to more favorable collateral flow. (Source: Klinische Neuroradiologie)
