We appreciate the authors ’ interest in our recently published “ACR Appropriateness Criteria® Headache: 2022 Update.” The authors raise an important consideration with respect to the use of head CT angiography (CTA) for patients presenting with sudden-onset severe headache that reaches maximal intensity within 1 hour (Variant 1). Although we stand by our “may be appropriate” recommendation, we agree that a more nuanced discussion as to the benefits and drawbacks of CTA versus lumbar puncture in patients presenting after 6 hours is important. Increased Utilization of Low-Dose CT for Lung Cancer Screening at an Arkansas Community Oncology Clinic
The objective was to determine whether offering free LDCT increased the number of high-risk individuals screened in a rural catchment area. (Source: Journal of the American College of Radiology : JACR)

Establishing a Point-of-Care Ultrasound Program: An Institutional Approach for Developing a Point-of-Care Ultrasound Program Infrastructure
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is rapidly accelerating in adoption and applications outside the traditional realm of diagnostic radiology departments. Although the use of this imaging technology in a distributed fashion has great potential, there are many associated challenges. To address these challenges, the authors developed an enterprise-wide POCUS program at their institution (Stanford Health Care). Here, the authors share their experience, the governance organization, and their approaches to device and information security, training, and quality assurance. Results from Lung Cancer Screening Outreach Utilizing a Mobile CT Scanner in an Urban Area
Lung cancer screening using low-dose (LD) CT reduces lung cancer –specific and all-cause mortality in high-risk individuals, although significant barriers to screening remain. We assessed the outreach of a mobile lung cancer screening program to increase screening accessibility and early detection of lung cancer. Economics of Scale —Lessons for Radiologists
Uber ’s experiment with $5 discount coupons with select passengers in Seattle appeared to be a win-win situation, benefiting both the passengers and Uber. The passengers rode more, the drivers earned more, and the company profited. When Uber scaled this initiative to include a broader swath of clients, the results were the opposite. Demand increased, outstripping supply. Scarcity of supply of drivers caused resentment in overworked drivers. Wait times and prices increased, and then demand fell. Patient-Reported Testing Burden of  Screening Contrast-Enhanced Mammography
Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) is a relatively new contrast-based imaging technique that combines mammography with the administration of an intravenous iodinated contrast agent to enhance the visualization of breast lesions. CEM studies have shown promising results, with diagnostic accuracy comparable to that of breast MRI. (Source: Journal of the American College of Radiology : JACR)
