Patients ’ perception of community pharmacists as healthcare providers and willingness to participate in pharmacist services: a pilot study
ConclusionA greater percentage of patients perceived community pharmacists as healthcare providers. This affirmative perception positively impacted patient willingness to participate in several pharmacist ‐provided services. As no comparative studies are available, further study is needed to assess consistency of observations and assess innovative ways to highlight pharmacists’ cognitive attributes and increase participation in pharmacist‐provided services. Poor performance of medicines logistics and supply chain systems in a developing country context: lessons from Nigeria
ConclusionsIndicators for poor SCM of medicines were identified, hence, the need for establishing measures for improvement. Such measures may include more political will in implementing policies, financing SCM of medicines, building in ‐country skills and capacity in SCM of medicines, individualizing and segmenting medicines supply chains, and creating a regulatory body for certifying and professionalizing medical logistics companies, logisticians and supply chain managers in Nigeria. Evaluation of tuberculosis defaulters in Yemen from the perspective of health care service
ConclusionThis study presented the risk factors associated with TB defaulters in Yemen as well their reasons for defaulting which are mostly socioeconomic, particularly travel cost. By identifying these risk factors and reasons for defaulting, this study proposes defaulter rates in Yemen can be reduced through incorporating the results into future treatment strategies to prevent undesirable consequences, especially in the absence of primary diagnosis tools and improper tracing method for defaulters.
