[18F]FDG PET/CT for therapeutic assessment of Abatacept in early-onset polymyalgia rheumatica
Conclusion[18F] FDG PET/CT uptake did not decrease significantly after ABA compared to placebo in anatomical areas usually affected in PMR patients. These results are correlated with the clinical-biological therapeutic assessment.Clinical trial registrationThe study was approved by the appropriate ethics committee (CPP Sud-Est II Ref CPP: 2018 –33), and all patients gave their written informed consent before study enrollment. The protocol was registered on Clinicaltrials.gov (NCT03632187). Pre-clinical evaluation of biomarkers for the early detection of nephrotoxicity following alpha-particle radioligand therapy
ConclusionUrine NGAL secretion could be a potential early diagnostic tool to identify unrecognized tubular damage and predict long-term α-RLT-related nephrotoxicity. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)

Comparative assessment of radiation therapy –induced vasculitis using [18F]FDG-PET/CT in patients with non-small cell lung cancer treated with proton versus photon radiotherapy
ConclusionOur results suggest that patients treated with photon RT for NSCLC may exhibit significantly more RT-induced inflammation (measured as ∆SUVmean) in the AA and AoA when compared to patients who received proton RT. Knowledge gained from further analyses in larger cohorts could aid in treatment planning and help prevent the significant morbidity and mortality associated with RT-induced vascular complications.Trial registrationNCT02135679. The clinical acceptability of short versus long duration acquisitions for head and neck cancer using long-axial field-of-view PET/CT: a retrospective evaluation
ConclusionIn terms of LN detection, C40% acquisitions showed no significant difference compared to the C100% acquisitions. There was some improvement for lesions detection at C100%, with a small increment in accuracy reaching borderline significance, suggestive that the higher sensitivity afforded by LAFOV might translate to improved clinical performance in some patients. CXCR4-directed PET/CT with [68  Ga]Ga-pentixafor in solid tumors—a comprehensive analysis of imaging findings and comparison with histopathology
ConclusionsIn a whole-body tumor read-out, a substantial portion of prevalent solid tumors demonstrated increased and uniform [68 Ga]Ga-pentixafor uptake, along with high image contrast. We also observed a respective link between in- and ex-vivo CXCR4 expression, suggesting high specificity of the PET agent. Last, a fraction of patients with [68 Ga]Ga-pentixafor-positive tumor burden were rendered potentially suitable for CXCR4-directed therapy. Dynamic total-body PET/CT imaging with reduced acquisition time shows acceptable performance in quantification of [18F]FDG tumor kinetic metrics
ConclusionThe acquisition time for dynamic PET imaging can be reduced to 30  min without compromising the ability to reveal tumor kinetic metrics of [18F]FDG, using the total-body PET/CT system. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)

FDG-PET/CT for investigation of pyrexia of unknown origin: a cost of illness analysis
ConclusionFDG-PET/CT showed high diagnostic accuracy and significant impact on patient management in patients with PUO. FDG-PET/CT performed earlier in admission for PUO was associated with shorter length of stay and lower total cost. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)
