Automated identification of uncertain cases in deep learning-based classification of dopamine transporter SPECT to improve clinical utility and acceptance
ConclusionThe UDM allows reliable identification of uncertain [123I]FP-CIT SPECT with high risk of misclassification. We recommend that automatic classification of [123I]FP-CIT SPECT images is combined with an UDM to improve clinical utility and acceptance. The proposed UDM method ( “high sensitivity versus high specificity”) might be useful also for DAT imaging with other ligands and for other binary classification tasks. Prediction of therapy response of breast cancer patients with machine learning based on clinical data and imaging data derived from breast [18F]FDG-PET/MRI
ConclusionThe evaluated multi-source XGBoost model shows promising results for reliably predicting pathological complete response in breast cancer patients prior to NAST. However, yielded performance is yet insufficient to be implemented in the clinical decision-making process. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)

Initial results with [18F]FAPI-74 PET/CT in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
ConclusionThe initial results confirm our assumption that [18F]FAPI-74 offers a viable non-invasive assessment method for pulmonary fibrotic changes in patients with IPF. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)

Multicenter development of a PET-based risk assessment tool for product-specific outcome prediction in large B-cell lymphoma patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy
ConclusionOur analysis demonstrates that the presence of more than one extra-nodal lesion and higher MTV in LBCL are associated with inferior outcome after CAR T-cell treatment. Based on an assessment tool including these two factors, patients can be assigned to one of three risk groups. Importantly, as shown by our study, metabolic tumor burden might facilitate CAR T-cell product selection and reflect the individual need for bridging therapy. Effects of medication on dopamine transporter imaging using [123I]I-FP-CIT SPECT in routine practice
ConclusionOur study confirms the potential impact of antidepressant (NASSA) and opioid (tramadol) medications on the semi-quantitative analysis of [123I]I-FP-CIT SPECT scans. However, when performing a visual analysis, only NASSAs significantly impacted the interpretation of [123I]I-FP-CIT SPECT scans. (Source: European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging)

Development and validation of clinical-radiomics analysis for preoperative prediction of IDH mutation status and WHO grade in diffuse gliomas: a consecutive l-[methyl-11C] methionine cohort study with two PET scanners
Conclusion[11C]MET PET radiomics features could benefit non-invasiveIDH genotype prediction, and integrated CT radiomics features could enhance the efficacy. Radiomics and clinical features incorporation could establish satisfactory nomogram for clinical application. This non-invasive predictive investigation based on our consecutive cohort from two PET scanners could provide the perspective to observe the differential efficacy and the stability of radiomics-based investigation in untreated diffuse gliomas.
