Renal-Type Clear Cell Carcinoma of the Prostate: A Rare Case Report
We describe a case of a 47-year-old male nonsmoker, who presented with a history of frequency, dribbling urination, and dysuria for 6 months. In a digital rectal exam, enlarged prostate with a hard consistency was identified. All results for hematological and biochemical tests were normal. Also, the serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level was 2.7 ng/mL (within normal range). Open prostatectomy was done and the result showed a 300 g specimen, and a histopathological examination revealed clear cell carcinoma. A computerized tomography scan and ultrasound did not show any mass in the kidneys, but three nodules in both lun...

Pitfall in the Surgical Management of a Shrunken Skin Defect after Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Locally Advanced Breast Cancer
A 53-year-old woman with a large, easy-bleeding, and ulcerated breast tumor visited our hospital due to severe anemia. Transfusion and Mohs ’ chemosurgery gave the patient marked improvement of her local and general condition. After confirming the human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer with no distant metastasis, anti-HER2 agents-containing chemotherapy brought about clinical complete response of t he locally advanced breast cancer with a shrunken but still large skin defect. We, therefore, treated the patient with mastectomy and axillary node dissection but failed to directly close t...

Simultaneous Sertoli Cell-Only Syndrome and Leydig Cell Tumor in a Patient with Azoospermia: A Rare Case Report
This study aims to report a simultaneous Sertoli cell-only syndrome and Leydig cell tumor in the same patient. A 32-year-old man presented with a history of primary infertility for 3 years. Physical exami nation revealed normal secondary sexual characteristics. Two successive seminal fluid analyses revealed azoospermia. A scrotal ultrasound scan showed a 28 × 27 mm hypoechoic and hypervascular right testicular mass. Right radical orchiectomy and simultaneous left testicular biopsy were conducted. Recalcitrant Subcutaneous Panniculitis-Like T-Cell Lymphoma Responsive to Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor
Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare subtype of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma that usually presents with tender subcutaneous nodules on the trunk and extremities. Immunosuppressive therapy is considered first-line treatment for SPTCL, while multiagent chemotherapy is used for SPTCL complicated by hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Here, we report a 42-year-old Hispanic man that presented with a 5-year history of recurrent painful subcutaneous lesions in the absence of constitutional symptoms, lymphadenopathy, and hepatosplenomegaly. A punch biopsy revealed an atypical lymphoid infiltrate in b...

Successful Dasatinib Treatment of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-Mutant Lung Adenocarcinoma and < i > BCR-ABL1 < /i > -Positive Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: A Case Report
Dasatinib, a second-generationBCR-ABL1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), inhibits multiple kinase pathways and is a promising anti-tumor agent for various solid tumors, including lung cancer. Herein, we report a patient with coexisting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutant lung adenocarcinoma andBCR-ABL1-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The patient received afatinib for a postoperative intrapulmonary recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma harboringEGFR exon 19 deletion. Tumor reduction was achieved with afatinib; however, dose reduction was required because of grade 2 diarrhea and skin toxicity. The reduced dose...

Diagnosis and Treatment of Brown Tumor in the Femur Induced by Parathyroid Carcinoma: A Case Report
We report a case of a 61-year-old woman with brown tumors in both femurs due to parathyroid carcinoma. The patient presented with multiple osteolytic lesions that caused pain in the right thigh. Whole-body computed tomography (CT), including the neck, suspected a parathyroid tumor, and a biopsy of the bone lesion revealed no malignancy. Following parathyroidectomy, she was diagnosed with a brown tumor with hyperparathyroidism due to a very rare parathyroid carcinoma. Although the right femoral lesion was indicated as an impending fracture, conservative treatment was performed because of the instability of her general condi...
