Pulpwood holocellulose model transfer based on screening with consistent and stable signals algorithm
In this study, in order to realize the sharing of the near-infrared analysis model of holocellulose between three spectral instruments of the same type, 84 pulp samples and their content of holocellulose were taken as the research objects. The effects of 10 pre-processing methods, such as 1st derivative (D1st), 2nd derivative (D2nd), multiplicative scatter correction (MSC), standard normal variable transformation (SNV), autoscaling, normalization, mean centering and pairwise combination, on the transfer effect of the stable wavelength selected by screening wavelengths with consistent and stable signals (SWCSS) were discuss...

Facile synthesis of amino-modified magnetic covalent organic framework for the efficient extraction and determination of anionic azo dyes in carbonated beverages
Anal Sci. 2024 Apr 4. doi: 10.1007/s44211-024-00561-3. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn this work, a novel magnetic covalent organic framework (COF (TpPa-NH2) @ Fe3O4) was prepared via two step by simple solvent method for the extraction of anionic azo dye residues in food. The as-prepared COF (TpPa-NH2) @ Fe3O4 nanocomposite was characterised by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. Before high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UV) determination, it was used as magnetic a...

Recent advances in the development of < sup > 225 < /sup > Ac- and < sup > 211 < /sup > At-labeled radioligands for radiotheranostics
Anal Sci. 2024 Apr 2. doi: 10.1007/s44211-024-00514-w. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTRadiotheranostics utilizes a set of radioligands incorporating diagnostic or therapeutic radionuclides to achieve both diagnosis and therapy. Imaging probes using diagnostic radionuclides have been used for systemic cancer imaging. Integration of therapeutic radionuclides into the imaging probes serves as potent agents for radionuclide therapy. Among them, targeted alpha therapy (TAT) is a promising next-generation cancer therapy. The α-particles emitted by the radioligands used in TAT result in a high linear energy transfer over a short ...

Anthraquinone/activated carbon electrochemical sensor and its application in acetaminophen analysis
Anal Sci. 2024 Apr 1. doi: 10.1007/s44211-024-00537-3. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAcetaminophen (AC) can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins in the body, and has antipyretic and analgesic effects. In this paper, a two-step microwave impregnation method was used to prepare anthraquinone (AQ)-doped carbon composite, which were applied to the surface modification of glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) for the determination of acetaminophen (AC) using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman and Fourier infrared spectroscopy ...

Unveiling the vitamin E profile in rice bran extracellular vesicles: evaluation of extraction and preparation methods
This study is the first to identify tocopherol and tocotrienol in rice bran-derived EVs. Our results indicate that ultracentrifugation followed by rotation is the most effective method for the preparation of rice bran-derived EVs. Notably, the vitamin E profile in EVs varies depending on the preparation method and differs from that in rice bran extracts. The pronounced presence of vitamin E in EVs suggests unique pharmacokinetics and underscores the potential of EVs as carriers for drug delivery systems. This study not only confirms the presence of vitamin E in EVs, but also underscores the potential of EVs and their phyto...

Design of cobalt-doped graphene quantum dot-decorated vanadium pentoxide nanosheet-based Off-On fluorescent sensor system for tiopronin sensing
Anal Sci. 2024 Mar 30. doi: 10.1007/s44211-024-00548-0. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDespite the high medicinal value of tiopronin, there are substantial adverse effects such as yellow skin, yellow eyes, muscle aches, etc. Therefore, there is a huge necessity to identify tiopronin using advanced sensors in provided samples. Recently, the preference for graphene quantum dots (GQDs) and inorganic nanomaterial-based fluorescent sensors for the detection of pharmaceuticals has been extensively documented due to their plentiful advantages. Therefore, in this work, the cobalt-doped GQDs decorated vanadium pentoxide nanosheet-ba...

Development of a highly efficient solubilization method for mass spectrometric analysis of phospholipids in living single cells
In this study, live single-cell mass spectrometry (MS) was developed for analyzing phospholipids at the single-cell level. This method facilitates rapid molecular analysis of cells under microscopic observation. For nanoelectrospray ionization, phospholipids were extracted from single cells isolated in a glass capillary through a high-efficiency process. Cell-derived phosphatidylcholines were detected with high sensitivity when trehalose C14 was added as a solubilizing reagent. Trehalose C14 can solubilize cells at low concentrations owing to its low critical micelle concentration, and exerts minimal matrix effects (such a...

Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA nondestructive and simple method for the determination of bromine and iodine in soil was investigated using an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer equipped with three-dimensional polarized optics. Using a gadolinium X-ray tube and Mo and Al2O3 as optimal secondary target materials, K-lines were detected for bromine and iodine. The minimum detection limits for bromine and iodine were calculated using JSAC0411, a certified reference material of soil for metal composition analysis, and were 0.77 mg/kg for bromine and 2.3 mg/k...
