Determination of phosphate in food based on molybdenum yellow derivatization coupled with resonance Rayleigh scattering method
Anal Sci. 2024 Jan 18. doi: 10.1007/s44211-023-00477-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThis paper proposed a rapid, selective and sensitive molybdenum yellow derivatization coupled with Resonance Rayleigh scattering (MYD-RRS) method for detection of phosphate. Under the acidic condition, phosphate can be selectively transformed to Keggin type of phosphomolybdic acid (PMA, i.e., PMo12O403-) through molybdenum yellow derivatization reaction prior to RRS detection. The PMA can further react with cationic methyl violet (MV) to form larger PMA-MV ion association complexes, generating significant RRS signal. The concentration of ...

Anal Sci. 2024 Jan 18. doi: 10.1007/s44211-023-00493-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAmphotericin B (AmB) is the first-line drug used for the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis (CM). AmB has poor gastrointestinal permeability due to its large molecular weight. In addition, AmB in injectable form has the disadvantages of high systemic side effects and low bioavailability in the brain because it cannot cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Therefore, it is important to develop new drugs with a more optimized delivery system. The nose-to-brain drug delivery system offers many advantages such as high bioavailability in the b...

Rapid determination of chromium species in environmental waters using a diol-bonded polymer-stationary column under water-rich conditions coupled with ICPMS
This study proposes a rapid analytical approach for the simultaneous determination of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) in environmental waters by hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) coupled with ICPMS under a water-rich condition. 2,6-Pyridinedicarboxylic acid (PDCA) was used to unify Cr(III) species in various chemical forms into a stable Cr(III)-PDCA anion complex and then separated from Cr(VI) oxyanion on a diol-bonded polymer-based HILIC column. An aqueous mobile phase containing 50 mmol L-1 ammonium acetate (pH 7.0), 2 mmol L-1 PDCA, and 4% acetonitrile successfully separates chromium species as well as chloride ions. In...
