Effect of concurrent resistance-aerobic training on inflammatory factors and growth hormones in children with type 1 diabetes: a randomized controlled clinical trial
ConclusionAs it was shown, it seems that concurrent resistance-aerobic training may improve blood glucose homeostasis and growth hormone. Therefore, these findings may suggest the benefit from exercise training of moderate intensity in children with T1DM. Besides, we recommend undertaking further clinical trials to determine if the exercise training was effective.Trial registrationThis study was registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials under the code IRCT20150531022498N30:https://en.irct.ir/trial/41031. The effect of selenium supplementation on sonographic findings of salivary glands in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) patients treated with radioactive iodine: study protocol for a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial
DiscussionDue to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, as well as improving salivary secretions, selenium may improve the symptoms of thyroid cancer treated with radioactive iodine. In past studies, selenium consumption has not reduced the therapeutic effects of radiation therapy, and at a dose of 300 to 500  μg/day, it has not had any significant side effects in many types of cancer under radiation therapy.Trial registrationIranian Registry of Clinical TrialsIRCT20201129049534N6. The effects of functional foods mixture on inflammatory cytokines and biochemical findings in hospitalized patients with COVID-19: a randomized double-blind controlled trial
ConclusionsThis study indicates a soup containing functional foods could alleviate biomarkers of inflammation in patients with COVID-19. However, its effectiveness on biochemical findings remained inconclusive which warranted further research.Trial registrationIRCT, IRCT20180201038585N11. Effectiveness of a theory-based educational intervention on work-related musculoskeletal disorders preventive behaviors among assembly-line female workers: a study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
DiscussionThe present study will evaluate the effects of maintaining a good posture at work and performing stretching exercises on the adherence to preventive behaviors of MSDs among assembly-line female workers. The developed intervention is easily implemented and evaluated in a short period of time based on the improved score of the rapid upper limb assessment (RULA) method and the mean score of adherence to stretching exercises and can be provided by a health, safety, and environment (HSE) expert.Trial registrationClinicalTrials.gov IRCT20220825055792N1.
