Myocardial mechanics of percutaneous intramyocardial septal radiofrequency ablation
Conclusions PIMSRA is an effective treatment for symptomatic HOCM that resulted in a sustained improvement in exercise capacity, a persistent decrease in LVOT gradient, and a measurable increase in myocardial contractile function. Trial registration number NCT04777188. (Source: Heart)

Long-term outcomes and risk factors for mortality of patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy undergoing septal myectomy
CONCLUSIONS: Surgical outcomes in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy are favorable in the long-term, except in patients with preoperative atrial fibrillation. Therefore, intraoperative ablation for preoperative atrial fibrillation in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy should be actively considered to improve patient outcomes.PMID:36647469 | PMC:PMC9840035 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-22-1045 (Source: Journal of Thoracic Disease)
