Perinatal Risk Factors in Relation to Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis in Children and Adolescents
CONCLUSION: The risks for allergic rhinitis and asthma were higher in male patients delivered by cesarean section and with a family history of allergy. By contrast, exclusive and long duration (>6 months) breastfeeding and the presence of sibling(s) reduced the risk of developing respiratory allergic disease.PMID:38584131 | DOI:10.21053/ceo.2024.00024 (Source: Clinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology)

Genome-wide Association Study of Susceptibility Loci for Self-Reported Atopic Dermatitis and Allergic Rhinitis in the Korean Population
CONCLUSION: We identified 3 novel SNPs significantly associated with allergic diseases in the Korean population. Further research is required to confirm the association between these novel SNPs and allergic disease in the Korean population and in other ethnicities.PMID:38576245 | DOI:10.5021/ad.22.160 (Source: Annals of Dermatology)
