J-1 visa waiver
Hi SDN, I used to frequent these forms as a medical student. I am now nearing the end of my residency in Family Medicine. I am Canadian, on a J-1 visa. I have been with an American girl for 4 years now. We are thinking to get married but I would need a J-1 visa waiver job in order to remain in the country. My girlfriend works for a company that has locations that are mainly in North New Jersey and New York City. However this company also has locations in Florida, Colorado, California... Clueless First-year Looking for Advice
(Sorry, it's a bit long and personal but your help would mean a lot!) I'm an 18yo girl and I'll officially start my first year as an undergrad med student in two weeks. It's all very surreal and all my dreams seemed to come true while I feel very confused about what life ahead of me will be like. I've been raised in a "greenhouse" - sheltered by a protective family. Although I've been reading news, volunteering at community centres and shadowing surgeons at public hospitals to try to... Clueless First-year Looking for Advice (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hennepin Reviews
Sure, Hennepin's got a big, fancy name. Just say "Hennepin" aloud in a crowded room of EM applicants and people get goose bumps. Some of the girls get wet. My interview day at Hennepin? After making the long flight out from my West Coast med school, I was interviewed by three people who HAVE ZERO STANDING in the residency program. PD? "Sorry, pal, you don't get to meet him." Associate PDs (there are two at Hennepin)? "Sorry, pal, they're not interviewing today, either." So who... Hennepin Reviews (Source: Student Doctor Network)
