What do you er doctors do?
Recent college grad here who is seriously considering medical school (lengthier post coming soon) with a strong interest in emergency medicine. I’ve always gravitated towards it, but the more I read about it the more it seems like a good fit for me. However I’m wondering what it is you guys (and girls) do during real emergencies? I know you deal with a lot of bs patients (heartburn from Indian buffet, thinks it’s the big one, stubbed toe, needs dilaudid etc.) but when someone comes in who... What do you er doctors do? Nude images blackmail
hey, throwaway account for obvious reasons. I’m an MS2. I’m lonely as hell in med school. I went on tinder and met a girl I thought liked me. She claimed to be a nursing student at a school in the same city and seemed to know her stuff. The day before we asked to meet, she asked me for a d**k pic. I was a little taken aback, I have never had a girl ask me for that. She sent me nudes so I thought it was normal. As soon as I sent her, she told me that she had found my Facebook and that she... Can a personal fundraiser project be considered as community service?
Hello, I was wondering if this fundraiser can be counted as community service. I have been doing a fundraiser for one girl in Vietnam who was born with cleft lip. She is from a very poor family and her family could not afford the money for surgery, so she had to rely on nonprofit organization for her surgeries. However, they didnt do a good job when she was young and left the country without completing her surgical process, and because of this she has a big scar from her lip to nostril. She... Why aren't PRN refills a thing?
Why aren't they more widely used? For non-controlled maintenance meds they would solve so many problems. Think about it, you essentially get unlimited refills for a year. No more "but I'm out of pills and my appointment is next week" Some girl loses a birth control packet and is willing to pay out of pocket for an emergency supply. Why not? Etc etc (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Walgreens in AZ refusing to xfer CIV before first fill?
I have been out of retail for a few years. I recently had to wait 4 days for Walgreens to order and fill my Viberzi Rx on a holiday weekend because it was an e-Rx and Walgreens told me that they have a new policy that they are unable to xfer controls before the first fill. I asked why this was the case since they were a "real time" pharmacy chain. The RPh agreed with me, but said that was their company policy. Does anyone have more information about this policy? Is it only Walgreens or other... Walgreens in AZ refusing to xfer CIV before first fill? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

second class citizens
alright, i was at a gathering with my band members, and i met this new girl from a pretigious private school. she was taking the mcat next year, a junior, blah x3. anyway i told her i was applying DO and she looked shocked. I asked her why, and she said she would never apply DO--as a DO you would be considered a "second class citizen". i have never heard this before. i searched the threads, i see the whole debate, but please, someone who is a DO or getting there tell me if this is true... second class citizens (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Domestic Violence Arrests and Medical School
Hello, I need an honest and straightforward dose of reality here. I'm a female undergrad student who has been arrested once for simple assault and once for domestic violence. I want to know if there is ANY possibility I could still attend medical school/become a physician. I've wanted this since I was a young girl and I would be devastated to learn that my poor choice of partners might crush all those hopes and goals. In both cases, all charges were dismissed. In the first, all records... Domestic Violence Arrests and Medical School (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Farmacy School Follies: Or How My School Trains Pharmacists Not to be Pharmacists
Hello all, I am a student at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Class of 2020. Today, our Dean presented us with a "unique" opportunity. He, our Dean, let the student body know we will, in the short future, be able to do a PharmD/NP pathway. Yes, you are reading that correctly. Pharmacy schools are now training their pharmacists to not be pharmacists in response to the mess they created. I would like to get people's opinion on this. A girl in the class above us asked why they... Farmacy School Follies: Or How My School Trains Pharmacists Not to be Pharmacists (Source: Student Doctor Network)
