Time off after graduating?
So I know that I do not have to start paying federal loans until 6 months after graduating, but what about my internship/job offers? I intern for a retail company who has offered me a job, but I want to go to Europe for a couple of months after gradating before I start. I met a girl who was doing work/study here, we spent a lot of time together over the course of a month before she had to leave, and we've been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years now, but she is unable to... Are there any bodybuilding couples in med school?
I'm into lifting and I have decided I would like to find one of those introverted make-up artist, weight-lifting, AOA/Top Student, Instagram queens that you occasionally see. I was wondering how many girls in medical school are able to display a strong fashion sense on-the-daily, meal prep, lift seriously, and are doing well in second year. I was wondering what type of schedules you guys hold? Here's mine: Weekdays 7:00 AM: Wake up and brush teeth 7:30 AM Start work out 8:30 AM Shower 9:00... uncomfortable experience w/ a flirtatious interviewer
I honestly do not know what to do. I am not this geeky anti social girl. I have been hit on before and I know how to act and remain professional. This is just my TOP school and choice since i was like 16 years old, and now, not only do i feel like my acceptance (if i get one) will be phony, but i cant imagine having to be TAUGHT by this man in the future. What would u guys do!??? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Has anyone thought of the long term financial benefits of marrying another doctor?
Just a thought, But my whole life Ive always dated people who intended to stay in the lower income range (below 40 k) A whole foods cashier, an Ulta make up specialist, and a hippie. So when ever I thought future I always thought everything I wanted would be purchased pretty much on my own income. If I wanted a 2 million dollar home I would need to earn above 300 k and pick a higher paying specialty. I was set up on a blind date this weekend with a girl whos also med student. No I didnt... Hmm... should I join a cult?
Kinda off-topic, but been feeling really crappy. The lonely/single/depressed kind of feeling. Been trying to meet people in the area but everything seems very superficial and despondent. Anyway my neighbors are in a cult and I went to one of their meetings for curiosity (I'm a hardcore rationalist). Everyone there seemed like nice people, they were surprisingly funny too. Also many of the girls (even the dudes lol) there were absolutely stunning (and dressed very well imho). Extremely... Hmm... should I join a cult? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

School List for 513, 3.76 cum URM
I put together my school list using MSAR and this is what I came up with. Metrics: 513 MCAT & estimated* GPA 3.76 (HUGE upward trend) and sGPA 3.68-3.7. *Estimated because I have a year left, assuming all A's in the rest of my classes which is doable. URM from SoCal with solid EC's including 3 years of research with poster presentations and 1-2 publications, coach girls soccer for 2 years, worked at a children's hospital for a year, 500+ volunteer hours, tons of shadowing, founder of a... Nursing - throwing everyone else under the bus?
I've been around and I know. They do it to doctors, they do it to pharmacists and they even do it to the girl bringing the patient food trays to the floor. If the doctor isn't on the floor yesterday for a patient problem that came up 5 minutes ago, you better believe that RN is typing up a narrative how you were made aware and did nothing about it. It doesn't matter if the RN already has orders to treat the problem, they still like to document it first then give a lengthy handoff to the... Nursing - throwing everyone else under the bus? German doctor moving to Australia?
Hi I would greatly appreciate some advice on the following matter. I'm a 31yr old Aussie and have met a German girl who is currently completing her intern year in Human Medicine. She is considering moving to Australia with me and I have spent the last month or so researching the hoops IMGs must jump through to work in Aus. I had no idea it was this hard for a doctor to move and work in Australia. I still find it very confusing. Also please note she speaks very good English and would like to... Ethical Dilemma at Corporate Orthodontic Office
I've spent 25 years in private practice and decided a change was necessary. Therefore I started to work part time for a Corp office. I still have my 2 private practices. I've been at the Corp office for 5 months. I actually enjoy the "change". I had a 14 yr old girl come in for a retainer check. I had never seen her before. She told me that she thought her teeth were moving. I assumed it was maybe a single tooth whereby I could just tighten the Hawley ret and maybe some IPR. NOPE....
