Study of The Relationship Between Psoriasis of Different Clinical Varieties and Osteoporosis
ConclusionPsoriasis is associated with a decrease in the bone mineral density more in males, with higher incidence of osteopenia rather than osteoporosis. The decrease in BMD increases with increasing age, duration of psoriasis and PASI score, decreases with increasing BMI, while the clinical variants of psoriasis didn ’t seem to affect the BMD of psoriatic patients.
