Cardiac MRI and blood biomarkers for evaluation of radiation-induced cardiotoxicity in breast cancer patients: results of a phase II clinical trial
We report results from a prospective clinical trial evaluating early magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and serum biomarker changes as predictors of cardiac injury and risk of subsequent cardiac events following RT for left-sided disease.
