Virginia Tech to advance brain, cancer research with focused ultrasound
(Virginia Tech) Virginia Tech is investing in an MRI-guided focused ultrasound facility at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute with support from a $1.8-million grant from the Edward N.& Della L. Thome Memorial Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee. In addition to research, the new facility may be used to help human and animal patients.
