Oral Health in Medicare —Considerations for 21st-Century Coverage
This Viewpoint discusses the need to expand Medicare benefits to include coverage for oral health services given the inextricable connection between diseases of the mouth, gums, and teeth and systemic disease, such as with stem cell transplants and immunosuppression, prosthetic heart valves, and bisphosphonate use.
