58 a new therapeutic method for decompensated liver cirrhosis: endoscopic ultrasound-guided intraportal infusion of autologous bone marrow
Recently stem cell therapy has been explored extensively as a promising treatment for decompensated liver cirrhosis. However, the progress of stem cell transplantation was hindered ascribe to genomic instability and low obtaining efficiency of cultured stem cells. Moreover, it is pivotal to optimizing transplantation routes by which the stem cells can be delivered effectively. Here fresh autologous bone marrow transplantation (BMT) through intraportal route guided by Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) was utilized to achieve therapeutic goals in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis.
