American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Jeanne Spurlock Research Fellowship in Substance Abuse and Addiction Sponsored by: American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) with support from: the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Application Deadline: February 17, 2015 AACAP is pleased to announce the Jeanne Spurlock Minority Medical Student Research Fellowship in Substance Abuse and Addiction, supported by NIDA. The AACAP Jeanne Spurlock Research Fellowship in Substance Abuse and Addiction offers a unique opportunity for minority medical students to explore a research career in substance abuse in relation to child and adolescent psychiatry, gain valuable work experience, and meet leaders in the child and adolescent psychiatry field. The fellowship opportunity provides up to $4,000 for 12 weeks of summer research under a child and adolescent psychiatrist researcher/mentor. Participants are required to attend the AACAP Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX on October 26 - 31, 2015 to present their research in a new research poster session. (Complimentary registration, four-paid nights in the hotel, and travel reimbursement for the Annual Meeting are included in addition to the fellowship stipend.)
